Pupils in Year 6 enjoyed an action-packed, learning-filled day in London – the highlight of which was a tour of Westminster with MP Mr Julian Smith.
After an early train from Harrogate to King’s Cross, the children, accompanied by Mr Sadler, Mrs Page and Mrs Furniss, headed straight to Westminster to meet Skipton and Ripon MP Mr Smith and enjoyed a fascinating KS2 workshop on the history of Parliament.
Then it was onto the London Eye and a cruise along the River Thames before a quick Pizza Express stop and the train home.
Children in Year 6 at BGS visit Parliament each year – it is a fantastic learning experience for them all, and one that they will remember for a very long time.
