Parents, grandparents and friends filled BGS and Magic Tree Nursery for a fun-packed ‘See Your Child in Action’ hour before lots of prospective parents were welcomed in for personal tours of school and nursery.
Children from the youngest in Magic Tree Nursery to the oldest in Year 6 welcomed their supporters in to school for the morning to enjoy their lessons alongside their loved ones.
And there was lots going on for parents, grandparents and carers to enjoy – from some maths sleuthing with Year 3 in the Greenwood Gym to a discovery walk in the BGS historic attic to gain inspiration for some story-writing with Year 5.
Elsewhere, pupils in Pre-Reception and Reception were delighted to show off their stunning new classrooms and outdoor space in the BGS Early Years department where they enjoyed some autumn-themed learning with their parents, while children in Years 1 and 2 applied their knowledge of different phonics sounds and tricky words through lots of fun games and activities.
As current parents left BGS, it was time to welcome in prospective families for tours of our school and grounds with Headmaster Mr Nathan Sadler and Deputy Head Mrs Sian de Gracia. It was a busy day with more families than ever visiting BGS on our Open Day.
Every day at BGS is an Open Day so if you didn’t make the event on 28th September, please get in touch to arrange a visit at a time to suit. We look forward to hearing from you.
