FDS Football (external provider)

FDS footballers work on their individual football skills with a focus on as many touches of the ball as possible in order to boost familiarity and comfort with the ball at their feet.

Signing up to the club, will give the children free access to the Skillabus PE
Challenges courses (over 250 challenges to have a go at home with the family).

Equipment/Clothing needed: Children should attend in their school PE kit (time to change into uniform afterwards).

Percussion Club

Join Percussion Club for a rhythmical adventure! We will teach you a variety of drumming patterns on the djembes and other percussion instruments. You will
play along to well-known songs and perform to audiences throughout the year.

Location: Music Room (please go straight up after assembly)

Drama Club

Prep Drama club will run for the enjoyment of acting and we will prepare a play that will be performed halfway through the school year and again, prepare another play for near the end of the year in the amphitheatre.

Exam Booster Group

Is your child sitting an entrance for a Senior School? If they are then EBG will provide them with time management skills, exam techniques and practice questions from their future school. We will help to boost confidence
so that the children feel ready for whatever faces them in their entrance
exam.

Cosmic Kids Yoga – nick taking over 

Mrs Hazel Roman (external provider) and the children channel their energies into exciting story telling through Yoga. They will practise arrange of different Yoga positions and begin to look at how they can develop their breathing effectively.

Musical drop in

Pre Choir

Mr Phillips will work with the children on developing their knowledge of how to sing as a group, blending their voices together and introducing simple harmony.

The choir will perform and compete at lots of events throughout the year.

Saddler Tennis (external provider)

The children have the opportunity to work weekly with Jonathan Saddler (Level 4 LTA Coach) on their tennis gameplay skills, either down at Birstwith Tennis Club (in good light and weather) or in the Greenwood Gym (in bad light or weather).

Each week he sends a message to parents to notify them or where the club will take place and where collection should be.

Age Group: Years 3-6.
Day: Wednesday
Time: 4.10pm-5pm (Year 3-6 red ball group).
Location: Greenwood Gym or Birstwith Tennis Club. (In the event the club takes place down at the village tennis club, BGS staff will providetransport to the club in the school minibus.)
Equipment/Clothing needed: Children can remain changed following games and take their school uniform home in their games bags.

String Ensemble

Mr Crombie will lead this group. Learning to play as part of an ensemble is a wonderful experience and important life skill. Join in the string ensemble and have the opportunity to work as part of a team. You will learn new music and perform in concerts and competitions throughout the year.

Hip Hop Dancers!

You will learn a variety of hip hop dance moves and choreography. This club is for keen dancers who want to improve their dancing skills and work as a team to create fantastic choreography and dances.

Location: Greenwood Gym (leave all of your things in the changing rooms and Mrs Garden will meet you in the corridor and take you to the Gym)
