FDS footballers work on their individual football skills with a focus on as many touches of the ball as possible in order to boost familiarity and comfort with the ball at their feet.

Student Council

Percussion Club
Join Percussion Club for a rhythmical adventure! We will teach you a variety of drumming patterns on the djembes and other percussion instruments. You will

Belmont Groovners School Band
Come and join this new groovy instrumental group and be a part of the Belmont Groovner gang! Mrs Turner is looking for pupils who can play brass, woodwind, strings, percussion and piano/keyboard (and anything else you can think of!) to come and play – whether you are already proficient, or just starting to learn, you are welcome! Bring your own instrument or use school’s percussion and keyboards.

Rock Band
Join Mr Smout for a rocking time! You need to be drums, bass, guitar or
piano player to join the rock band. You will learn how to play different instruments together in a band, learn to play well-known songs and having a brilliant time whilst doing so.

Musical drop in

Saddler Tennis (external provider)
The children have the opportunity to work weekly with Jonathan Saddler (Level 4 LTA Coach) on their tennis gameplay skills, either down at Birstwith Tennis Club (in good light and weather) or in the Greenwood Gym (in bad light or weather).
Each week he sends a message to parents to notify them or where the club will take place and where collection should be.
